Sportrak Headlights

Forum:

A simple modification really but made a vast difference to driving especially a couple of months ago in the murky winter nights.

Since moving to the Sportrak from a Vectra automatic (a very strange move I know) there was a very noticable lack of light on the road from the standard headlights. A friend of mine who drives a Land Rover discovery said he had had similar problems just down to the height above the road and advised me to try http://www.powerbulbs.com for a set of Philips VisionPlus (50% brighter) bulbs.

The change was amazing, I can highly recomend both the bulbs and the company.

Hope someone finds this useful and would get the forums underway.

On the subject of lights... is there anywhere I can get halogen replacement lights for my Daihatsu F50? The current headlights are horrendously dim.

There the same size as Mini or (sware word coming up) Land Rover. You could go to a breakers. Or if you look in the 4x4 mags, brand new light units from some one like millners will only set you back about £20, ish.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
