Hi guys I'm the proud new owner of a 91 J sporty its my first 4x4 and I was wondering how often should I service it and how much should a service roughly cost and also she only got 60k on the clock but I dont have all the s/history and dont know when she last had a cambelt change, again how often should I change the cambelt and how much should a garage charge me for this as im no mechanic. Any help would be great and also what a great site this is.

hi topbollox i think if its bean off road a lot you should fit a new belt sooner that 60k. every time i buy i fit a new cam belt just to be sure. hope this helps cant tell you any prices though as do them my self.

Just had new cam belt to my foutrak - cost about £85. Seemed reasonable value to me.

Change cam belt at maximum 60.000miles. When getting a garage to quote replacement price, make certain your sitting down! Why not contact previous owner and ask if its been renewed. I expect its not been done but certainly worth asking.
New belt from motor shop is about £20. Fit it yourself in about 3-4 hours.
