Hi.
We have aquired a Hijet, and require the "toe in/out" settings for the tracking of the front axle.
Also, anyone know where to get the Workshop Manual...I presume this setting would be in there?

Hi-Jet tracking
Autodata show it as - Toe in 0.75mm +0.75mm/-0.50mm
Deg 0,8' +8'/-6' (Nought degrees eight minutes, variation plus eight minutes/ minus six minutes)
Ebay seems to be the place to get a workshop manual on CD.

Thanks for the info, Dave.
So far we have found the "Owner's manual" for the CB41 engine (Carb.) Van. (On EBay) As it's the Owner's Manual, there is a LOT left out. (Any problems, see your Daihatsu Dealer, sort of thing.)
BUT it is very useful when you start with NO manual at all!
There is a Diesel Manual on EBay that is described as "Workshop", so we are going to have one as it MAY be more what we want....

HiJet Toe In
According to my manual, the toe in for all models is the same:
One Passenger - 2.0 (+1.5) (-1.0)
Unloaded Vehicle - 1.5 (+1.5) (-1.0)
I have used a Gunsons Trackrite for years and years and they are the bees knees if used sensibly, they are a little expensive now, but I had a car (Hillman Hunter - so you can tell how long I have had the device) that no tyre service or anybody else could seem to manage to track up correctly, it scrubbed tyres for fun, half an hour on an empty carpark with the trackrite sorted the problem! I have used it ever since, with 99.999% success.
