my sportrak starter motor sometimes doesnt do any thin but just clicks then hums,after leaving it for aday it works fine what can i do and more importantly where is it? exactly i think ihave been hitting my altinator thanks

this starter motor thing is persisting but i am on my own where is it drivers side i think

i bought an ecotec and screwed it into the side of the engine block (sportrak)where the little square headed grub screw is any body got a better place to put it?

I'm trying to remember which side it's on, left side looking from the front of the car in (I think (been a long time since I had a sporti)). It's deffinatly near the bottom of the flywheel housing though, and tight into the engine block. Easy enought to recognise, looks like one fat cylinder, with one smell cylinder attached to one side, and the main battery positive feed going straight to it.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
