i have a 1989 2.8 td with an oil leak the oil appears to be coming from the exhaust manifold where it joins the head on no. 4 cylinder any idea of the cause and a cure its not bad just bloody annoying

hav you cheked the rocker cover gasket it could b cuming from thair just a thought

checked the rocker cover cleaned engine only problem is visibility isnt good around there changing the head soon so i will find out then
Above or below? If it's abou
Above or below? If it's abouve then the rocker head gasget is the most likely culpret, (it may just need the rocker cover tightened up). If it's bellow the manifold it's more likely to be the head gasget. If you want to find out give the engine a good clean with GUNK or some other de-greaser, then run the engine and have a look. All should become clear, hopfully.
