Can anyone tell me where I can buy (via mail order) a snorkel for a 93 Fourtrak 2.8 TDL?
I've Yahoo-ed, Googled, all to little or no effect, so if anyone out there can help, I'd be grateful for any info.
Just to say I've tried Milner Offroad (not listed), Daihatsu Custom Parts (currently out of stock) but for the most part they dont appear to be listed with accessories or even exhausts.
Are these things readily available for 4traks or is it mainly for LR/RR/Disco?
French Ebay is a dead loss as I dont believe they know what a 4trak/Rocky is in this country; but I'm led to believe they're popular in Germany, but even there my search proved fruitless.

Ello, everboy does DIY jobs with snorkels, you might be able to adapt one from a suzuki or toyota - not sure, im yet to do one, it means cutting a big hole which i dont want to do in a hurry, but i can gaurantee you wont find a genuine daihatsu one, the only place you can find one that i know of is a site in america, look up the other worldwide daihatsu site, but they are easy to make anyhow, look up the mods forum etc youll find stuff in there.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

Here in New Zealand there is a company called TWL (transport wholesale limited) and I can buy a snorkel kit off the shelf with template for hole and everything for NZD$371 I don't know what the conversion is to your currency, but its reasonably cheap. I'm not sure if they are on the web yet, I'll check, because you could buy one and ship it to UK. The whole venture shouldn't cost too much.

At that price I'm tempted!
The only reply so far from someone in "La belle France" is for 245 euros (£170 ish); seems a lot for what would appear to be an extravagantly remoulded gutter pipe, but what it adds aesthetically is beyond any monetary consideration perhaps.
I will "Google" TWL & see what it comes up with, meanwhile, if you find out any more info, I'd be very grateful.

Hi I'm expecting a price for air freight to SW France in the next day or two. I mailed a photo to TWL NZ to confirm equivalent model ie Rocky or Rugger & that's it really.
I've been dealing with Brian Simpson in their Christchurch office & he's been very helpful & very quick to reply, so they're obviously not shy about supplying, which is less & less common these days (I find anyway).
I'll post the total price the minute it arrives, unless of course the smelling salts are needed; I'll keep them to hand.
More news as it's made.

well here it is....
price of snorkel $399.20 no tax on that figure; cheapest air freight FEDEX @ $250 (SW France) any duty payable this end.
Works out at just shy of £240.
Did I say "beauty has its price"?....... dont know if this is good or bad as I have nothing reallly as comparison.
At least the smelling salts weren't needed, though I feel a strong cup of PG tips coming on.
