Red Light

Hi there, does anybody know what the red light on my Sporty, just underneath the 3- stage damper switch is for, it seems that every time i switch the indicator on the red light flashes once. I have no idea what it for, hope somebody can tell me.

Have you a tow bar fitted?
If 'yes' then the red light is the result of a European directive that all cars with tow bars must have an additional red indicator light. When you indicate with trailer/caravan attached the red light flashes in unison with the indicator light. No trailer attached and the red light flashes just once to prove its working!

That's correct.....BUT even if the towbar has been removed, they may have left the wiring in place.

Don't forget some vehicles have an audible warning (bleeper etc) in stead. Either is exceptible, apparently.
