HIya, I recently purchased a daihatsu hijet 1.2 diesel van but half home it stopped running. On stripping the engine we worked out that after a bolt had come off the vavle rockers....closing off the exhaust valve...the engine has hydrauliched and smashed the conrod to pieces damaging the crank in the process. Now having recently set up as self employed and hoping this would be a cheap workhorse for a few months i cant afford the £400 for a replacement e ngine or repairs i am at a loss as to wat to do with it.

Does anyone here know of somewhere that does cheap parts to get it running again or am i better off stripping it for parts ...the bodywork is very good condition for its age....and is there any takers for parts on here??
