YRV Turbo exhaust

Forum:

For a 4 1/2 year old car with 47k miles on the clock, my YRV Turbo has a great appetite for exhausts! >Sad

It's on its second front section and now needs a third rear twin pipe section!

The dealer was embarrassed by the riduculous cost of the dealer only mild steel system and gave me a business card for a stainless exhaust fabricator based nearby.

Went along and was quoted a very reasonable £249 + VAT for a custom made twin pipe system, which I'm getting done this weekend. Smile

Anyone else gone down this route? How did the car sound after?

I'll post up pics once it's done.

When I sold mine recently at

When I sold mine recently at 3 years old, 36000 miles it was still on its original exhaust so I couldn't complain.
My dealer said Daihatsu now supply stainless steel replacements, but I don't know at what cost.

Done 24.5K And still on the original

My YRV Turbo still (Knock on wood) has it's original exhaust intact. Although I know a few on here who have changed their exhausts to stainless Blitz systems. I think once you have changed the original you have to take the car easy for a while whilst the ECU adapts Scratch one-s head Not sure if that's true or not. Hopefully someone will come along who has done this will comment. Seriously considering swapping my stock exhaust for a blitz at some point before it falls apart Biggrin .

Dave Dixon, for some reason your showing up as being from the USA Biggrin
