Time for new leaf springs?

Forum:

I have a 1988 Fourtrak Rocky, it had new leafsprings on the back just before i bought it a month ago but the front leafsprings are slightly curved the wrong way. I'm guessing these need replacing. Can anyone recommend some good quality new ones that wont cost the earth as im only a student. Also it is incredibly bumpy offroad. Any help on improving the ride appreciated!

New leaf springs and a bumpy ride.

Hi, my company can supply you with high quality Swedish front leaf springs in either 2 leaf standard or 3 leaf heavy duty versions for £65 each plus postage, these are not the cheapest available but they are good quality, include bushes and most importantly give a good ride and offroad articulation.I have rear springs for the SWB and LWB also available. I have spent some time and effort in order to source this particular make of spring because I was very impressed with their performance when I first fitted a set to my own fourtrak a couple of years ago.
When I bought the car it was fitted with a well known but cheaper brand of spring and the ride was much too harsh and the articulation very poor , you will find plenty of discussion about this problem in the forums. Please have a look at my website at www.bloodredoffroad.com or ring me on 01484 711344.
Best Regards
Dave.

On the one hand.

Hi Robert, I have read your postings regarding your problems with the parabolics, I have dealt with Paul at Haystee in the past as I have a set of his parabolic springs on my FJ45 Landcruiser, they were the first prototype set he had made for this model and needed some fettling and alteration before going on general sale, 6 years on though the springs are still superb. I have to say I found him very helpful and pleasant in all our dealings, I have noticed that he has recently added "only suitable for left hand drive" to the website listing for the Daihatsu kit.
With regard to the Swedish springs, they are not handed but I haven't had any problems with the sets I have run, the company is a large manufacturer with plants in three European countries that supply OE to several major car manufacturers aswell as aftermarket suspension products worldwide. I have also been researching several other Australian companies products with regard to trying to get hold of some complete lift kits and none of these list handed springs either. I'd be interested in speaking to you about the difference in the springs and the problems you encountered at some point if you have time, mail me your No. to eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%73%61%6c%65%73%40%62%6c%6f%6f%64%72%65%64%6f%66%66%72%6f%61%64%2e%63%6f%6d%22%3e%73%61%6c%65%73%40%62%6c%6f%6f%64%72%65%64%6f%66%66%72%6f%61%64%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b')) and I'd be happy to give you a ring whenever it is convenient.
Best regards
Dave.

i use

i have the same springs that dogsboss dave is on about, i reccomend them big time, they fit nice and easy and give a huge amount of artic in comparrison to others and a much smoother ride. ive had mine for a year or so and no probs no loss of height and they have received some harsh riding and bouncing.
