Wider Fourtrack?

Forum:

I would like to know how i can increase the width of the axles on my fourtrak without the use of spacers.

Can i buy second hand (i dont want to spend a great amount) axles from another vehicle that will fit my standard f70 fourtrak but that will increase the axle width?

Thx

hmmm

Im thinking old toyota hilux but not sure, the problem will be where the leaf springs are allocated etc

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

The easiest way to increase your vehicles track is to use spacers, but i understand your reluctance in using them, as i have seen many problems with them.
Other ways are to replace the axles, but it is a matter of getting some with the correct gear ratios, or that are durable enough.

Other suggestions are to buy a set of cheap steel wheels with a different offset, basically the wheel centre is not in the centre, it is located nearer the inside of the rim. Aftermarket suppliers should be able to supply these with differing offsets.
