Fitting filter

I and a number of people on the site have fitted high flow filters and its a pretty straight forward job as mentioned on the site. Basically you completely remove the old filterbox and then put the K&N onto the pipe coming from the magical black box on the top of the engine. Theres couple of pictures in the gallery in the modifications bit and also on the page which gives detailed info on attaching a highflow filter. I personally say its well worth it and it gives you that bit extra nippiness that you want, and also makes it sound a bit more butch when accelerating Smile

K&N Filter

Hi,

I have just fitted the same R-1380 filter to my Sporty. It's was pretty easy and does give noticably more power. Well worth the 30 odd quid.

Have a quick look at a couple of before and after shots (link below)and click on the 'photos' button.

Personally I think the money

Personally I think the money is better spent on extractors/ headers. I've both fitted, and the K&N actually seems to lose power in hot weather compared to the factory set up. The extractors give a real noticeable boost even with the factory exhaust hanging off the back of them.
