Dane knows a lot about X4s

Dane knows a lot about X4s so telling you everything might take a while Wink

Performance of his old car (which I now own) is 0-60 timed at 6.6secs. The car comes from the factory with boost set at 18psi which is about 120bhp but the turbo has an adjustable actuator and the ECU lets you increase boost to 24psi which is about 140-145bhp. Running at 20psi the car held (and probably still does hold)many class records where Dane competed in it and I hold the class record for my local sprint and hillclimb in the car also bettering the 1401-2000 record by half a second. Around a track it will stay with Mini Cooper S's and Golf GTi's (I know as I did it !!).

the downside is that the car is very low geared, 70mph is about 4500rpm in top, much more and it starts to get uncomfortable - but you have to bear in mind the car is built as a race car for the road and is not really intended to be a daily driver although provided you stay off motorways it works fine daily.

The car has LSD's front and rear which make cornering phenomenal, I've had many people tell me at events that I was far and away the fastest road car through tight corners and was faster than quite a bit of the competition machinery.

Reliability is as good as your maintenance of the car is. Mine has been utterly reliable during my ownership only very recently have I had my first issue in a bearing has gone in the gearbox which I will be repairing at some point.

For photos, I've put a few up in the gallery on this site

Hope that helps
