Forum:
I have annoying just stripped my sump plug, I had set the torque wrench but it just didn't click, should've know bettter to stop when it wasn't tightening up. It's now dripping slightly.
Does anyone know the correct sizing to get a replacement?
I havn't checked yet but I don't think the sump is stripped as well, since the sump plug seems to be the soft metal alloy type. Will check this once I have a replacement to put in.
It's a Sirion 1l 1999 model.
Many thanks,
Will
Drill it out to a larger size
Drill it out to a larger size and retap another thread into it, find a bolt of the same size thread and fit this into it with a copper washer on. The bolt head underside may need a spin in the lathe to ensure it is perfectly flat.
