Its finally happened!!

If you look on the Autotrader website under new cars the only Manufacturer NOT there is DAIHATSU!!!!!!

I know its been a year since any new ones have been imported but it would appear that the importers have finally thrown in the towel.

I understand that dealers who very often have a Subaru franchise running alongside have been offered a Chinese car as substitute by the British importers.

Whilst no official statement has been forthcoming Daihatsu's demise does seem ominous - dealers are very unlikely to hang on for better exchange rates and subsequently will have either gone out of business or taken on different franchises.

I assume at the moment that spare parts are still being imported,but if all the dealers vanish where do we obtain them??!!!!

Anyone know anything different?
