YRV Turbo

Forum:

Anyone know what a mechanical clicking sound could be, on overrun only at any speed and not engine related appears to be somthing rotating even when rolling out of gear and seems to be related to car speed, poss cv joint Unknw but does iy in straight line as well Unknw any idea??

Thanks

From what I have understood

From what I have understood about the car you own from the classifieds Wink it is not standard? If you are getting a clicking sound then is this coming from the front or back? The only sounds I get from mine is the knocking sound from the non-standard adjustable shocks I had fitted to the rear of the car a few months back. You don't have anything similar?

Would be easier if you can list what is on the car at the moment, and try and diagnose from there. Smile

YRV turbo clicking noise on over-run

Hi all still trying to find out what the noise is, when I say clicking its more deep than that more like some thing like a gear catching up sounds rotary, when slowing up so the clicking slows up and stops at around 10 mph, just done brakes all round so nothing there, while wheels were of check wheel bearings and they were all fine, could it be a cv joint? do they show up in straight line Unknw appears in all gears and out of gear as well but only on over run.
it stops as soon as I touch the throttle and I mean touch it just,
Im starting to thing trans-axle now but dont really want to go that route being an auto box! wonder if anything happens in over run that does not when driving? i,e with foot of throttle.

Any Ideas

PS any one got std air box and intake hose and BOV valve for the YRV turbo. ??
