After 15 years...........

After 15 years ownership we are sadly parting company with Rocky ,a 93 TDX,still in showroom condition with 131,000 miles on.Purchased from Brook Daihatsu Huddersfield in 95.Owner serviced since 88K , changed timing belt at 120,000 miles, new rear leaf springs at 125,000miles, oil & filter every 1500 miles.New front calipers & pads, rear drums re lined,4 new glow plugs, starts on first turn of starter.Everything fitted still works, 4 matching tyres and still running on the original exhaust system! Interior like new with a rare oem tonneau cover and rear roll cage. Four wheel drive with auto hubs only ever used once since we bought it(this winter!).Part exchanging for an 06 Honda CRV.

What a great looking truck. Hope the Honda gives you such stirling service but unfortunately I dont think many cars are made as well as the Fourtrak was.

Modern diesel 4x4's seem to have a habbit of lunching turbos especially the VGT type. I run a 55 plate Cherokee 2.8 CRD as well as the Trak and its already on its 2nd turbo. Read about similar problems with the latest TD 4x4's even the Japanese.

Would be interseted to find out how much PX they gave you on the Fourtak as the question of what they are worth crops up on here regularly.

Its a real shame you decided to part-ex, you would have gotten more for it and kept it out of the dealers slimly hands.... Oh well, tis done now Sad
