Adjustable Tow Bar

Hi,

I have a height adjustable tow bar for a F75 if anyones interested.....

Hi. What have you

Hi.

What have you (model).

Question - Why !!!

If your offroading it gives an attachment point, for towing / recovery though it also has the disadvantage of decreasing the departure angle, getting hooked up on it !!.

The tow bar is not an an integral piece of the chassis, so it would not affect the trucks integrity I believe.

towbar removal

i've an f80
reasons to remove are
1. because it hits the gound all the time and
2. it's as rotten as a cherry!

i'll prob get a hight adjustable on sometime but got better things to spend my money on at the mo.

The actual drop plate wont

The actual drop plate wont be. What it is bolted is the rear cross member. There is also a box section type part of the tow asembly which goes across the car under the cross member. This is part of the towbar, and not an integral part of the car.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

the tow bar is not ment to be

the tow bar is not ment to be used for recovery(light recovery its ok)
take it off and have a recovery point made thats sutable for recovery
