Just bought a Fourtrak, and was trying out the 4 wheel drive, but on returning to 'normal drive', forgot to reverse for a few yards. I then drove for about 5 miles, with a slight noise coming from the engine area. I then stopped the vehicle, and reversed , which stopped the 'funny' noise. Will I have caused any damage to the 4x4 system.?

Probably wont have coused any trouble, as you had put it back in 2wd. However the front drive chain was pobably still being turned by the front wheels, untill you did the reversing bit. I would guess that your noise was comming from the front drive chain somewhere, but without knowing what sort of noise it was I couldn't hazzard a guess as to what it was.
