Fourtrak F78 - Removal of Floor Wiring Harness

Forum:

I've had a search through the forum posts but can't quite seem to sort a solution to my problem with removal of a fourtrak wiring harness. I thought perhaps some of you knowledgeable folk may be able to give me a few words of advice or point me in the right direction...

I have a 2001 F78 Fieldman that is in good condition apart form a few recent wiring issues. The main problem surfaced a few weeks back when the indicator fuse kept blowing. Turns out the indicator fuse must be shared by the rear wiper because after about 10 fuses I tracked the problem down to a melted connector and wire where the floor harness enters the rear door. Rear wiper had seized and is being blamed for the short. Rear wiper has been removed.

Anyway, I have a donor Fourtrak (1997 TDX) that has a wiring harness as new as the day it came off the production line. I set about removing the harness from the donor and started removing its fastenings. Working my way back from the passenger seat toward the rear was easy. That is, until I got to the very back of the vehicle and the harness disappeared from view between fuel tank and chassis. I can reach in and feel a couple of fastenings fixing the harness to the body but can

I also hope the harness is

I also hope the harness is easier to re-install than remove.

Almost never the case =/
