Had mine ten years - great vehicle - but ran out of fuel in Cornwall last week (with caravan attached, no joke!)
problem is handbook says tank is 60 litres; I have always brimmed the tank when reaching the "red" and thus calculated I had about 3 gallons left.
However, now filling from empty to brim it only holds 53 litres!
Are all 4trak tanks this size?

It is posiblr that you have a hole in your pickup pipe?Can't remember if 4trak fule is picked up through pipe from top of tank? Could be that pipe inside tank hase a hole it should not have, so 'empty' comes early. I had an Landrover do this to me. 'Empty' was at about a quarter tank on that one.

In addition to Nev's comment; it is also possible your fuel sender is acting up or the float assembly needs bending slightly.
