tuning a mira

i have owned a mira for about two and a half years now ,and have used some mild mods on mine, now produces 82hp,standard is 64,i have used an induction kit (hks),stainless steel exhaust, and changed the standard intercooler for a glanza top mount which was a bit of a pain to sort but worth it,hope that helps, many more mods you can do,in japan thay have got 200 hp out of a mira, but that would mean changing turbo, injectors and fueling, also visit www.kkitp.com for loads of help and advice on kei cars.

What Steve said :-)

Improving airflow is the easiest way to increase power then its increase boost, bigger turbo and expensive things. I recently built a hybrid turbo for my L510S Mira (EF-RL) engine using a Corsa 1.5D turbo and the original, details over on KKITP. Another member over there has got a hybrid turbo from Malaysia he's currently in the process of installing, which should be good for 100bhp+

mira mods

It really depends on what type of driving you would do.

But basic mods would be...

Front Pipe 16000 http://item.rakuten.co.jp/bosco/426592/#426592

Exhast 30000 yen

brake pads (most important! front and rear ) 16000

KYB SR shocks 30000 yen

TAKE OFF battangarigari pittanko shocks 14000 yen http://www.k-takeoff.com/catalog/sus/index.html

TAKE OFF PERFECT DRIVE (ECU) 70000 yen

they are all really safe mods and all from japan.. good for mountain roads and track and they are all easy to install.

instead of trying to get a horsepower boost maybe get an all around tune up.

i have a l512s and its super fast now with the above mods
