Sportrak suspension

Forum:

I am the owner of a 1995 Sportrak and was wandering if anyone out there has got any ideas on improving the suspension, it seems to be a very hard ride. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

How old are your shockabsorbe

How old are your shockabsorbers? Something like Bilsteins will improve the ride if they are old.

Try dropping your tyre pressures too, 23psi in the front and 29 psi in the rear is the recommended pressure. I run 26 front and 28 rear and find that's a good compromise for ride vs handling.

I also found fitting 15x7" rims and 235/70r15 tyres (Cooper A/T) gave a vastly improved ride and handling over my old 225/70R15 road tyres and standard rims.
