Well, having just replaced the valve seals and had the head skimmed etc, the car is still as smokey as it was. The next obvious thing is the piston rings which i will have to replace.
Nosing about under the car, it looks as if the sump can be removed and the pistons removed without taking the engine out. Anyone know if this is possible?
Also, the small vacuum hose from the inlet manifold to the cam cover. I tried to blow down the cam cover spigot and it appears blocked. Is there a volve at the bottom of the spigot?
I have a 1500 rpm idle speed which also needs fixing if anyone has any clues?
