Strange noise from YRV Turbo

Forum:

I really should just turn the radio up...........

This noise is a kind of hyrdraulic/pshhh kind of noise which sounds like it comes from under the dash or down by the pedals. It only lasts for appprox 1.5 seconds and doesn't seem to do it from cold.

It only occurs once and happens after I move off from a Stationary Position.
So, I start the engine, engage a gear including reverse and then start moving and then this noise occurs. It will not do it again until I switch off and move off again. I repeatedly restated the car earlier, moved off and the noise appeared. It doesn't sound like it is coming from the gearbox area either. Even with the drivers door open, it still sounds like it is down by the pedals.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance. Again Wink

Power steering pump perhaps?

Power steering pump perhaps? The only hydraulic noises I get with my car is a slightly noisy power steering pump from cold.
