Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8 turbo deisel
Am having a problem with my daihatsu fourtrak. After I have driven for about 30 minutes I am getting a banging/grinding type noise.I can feel vibration throught the handbrake, and if I pull the handbrake on the noise stops. The noise is not there when I am going short distances-does anyone have any ideas, please?

If it stops when you pull the handbrake I would say its something inside the drums, pull them off and have a look see.
Daihatsu problem
Thanks Stalin1878 brake drums already been checked
Daihatsu problem
Thanks both----but there doesn't seem to be a problem with the brakes that was the first thing we checked.
Sounds like the rear brakes
Sounds like the rear brakes are binding, as they bind they build up more heat and the drum expands. This creates the vibrations as the affected brake is virtually on when it expands the drum.
Is the vehicle seeming to lose power, and is a wheel much hotter than the others, all give aways to such a problem.
Slacken off the back brakes slightly and see if this cures it.
