Crewe - New Shape Daihatsu Sirion Central?

Forum:

Well went to Crewe today and spotted the following Daihatsus (Mostly new shape Sirions);

1 White Copen with the top down

2 x Silver Sirions

1 x Sky Blue coloured Sirion

2 x Red Sirions ( 1 Behind me @ Copenhall)

Couldn't beleive how many Daiahstu Sirions there were in one place Smile

Abundant Sirions!

Hi jpor, we have lots of new shaped Sirions here in Louth Lincolnshire and a new (ish) Daihatsu dealership.NT Shaws. I reckon they are a very good little car, even liked by the media who have been less than kind to some previous Daihatsu models. Cheap and reliable motoring is their benchmark and with no small amount of comfort and driving pleasure to boot.
I had a test drive in a 1.5 SX recently also a 1.3 SX. Both excellent cars. The only problem was the wife could not get comfy with the head rest. It seemed to only locate on the very top edge, making it most uncomfortable. The salesmen said he had not come across it before but acknowledged that it didn't sit right. He then tried a head rest from a Terrios but it wouldn't fit.
I wonder, has anyone else found this problem with the head rests or do I just have an odd shaped wife?

Must be just me then.......

There is a Daihatsu Dealership in Crewe called Newpark Motors, who I now use for my YRV Turbo. So my only guess is that they sold a lot of Sirions Smile Only noticed this recently as I don't normally get into Crewe that much during the week due to work Wink

As for the head rest, not sure about that one, normally I don't rest my head against mine in the YRV as they are normally used as a safety device when your head gets knocked back in an accident. Sad

Head Rest

I didn't make it clear, sorry. My wife doesn't drive and as a passenger uses the head rest to snooze on as she is so relaxed when riding with a first class driver..me!! To be honest (and serious) I too had no issue and tend not to rest against it but passengers do tend to use them more. We had no issues at all with the Rally 2 we owned. If you notice, the old shaped Sirion head rests were verticle in design whereas the new one is tipped at an angle towards the head. Many manufacturers make headrests that adjust to the correct angle for the user but the new Sirions is fixed.
