need some advice

Forum:

i have just bought a fourtrak and i was going to put my cd player in it but i have been told that it will jump a lot coz its going into a 4x4

have any of yous put a cd player in a fourtrack and does it work right or does it jump

They can jump

When I put my old CD Player in my Sportrak it used to jump quite a bit as it didn't have a buffer (was a very cheap one). So brought a half decent Kenwood one and it was fine. So it all depends on what one you have and how good its buffer is. Something you can find quick enough in the manual for the CD player anyway.

just took my kenwood cd out of sierra 4x4, it jumped like mad in it even over slight undulations, put it in my 4track independant yesterday 14/06/03. went down the road where it was worst in sierra, and never jumped once so think you will be ok.

jumpy cd

Can't say it's been a problem here except once or twice over very sharp bumps/potholes*. Maybe 2 or 3 times in 18 months. It's a JVC but not really very expensive.
