I'm afraid once that nut is
I'm afraid once that nut is off it is just a matter of bruit force, and prehaps the aid if a club hammer raped in several layers of cloth / sacking / etc. The wheel fits onto a slightly connical spline. Once it's free'd of slightly it'll come away eisely. It's just getting that first mm without damaging the wheel that takes all the effort.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
already been covered on forum
undo the nut, get a heavy punch and big hammer, jam your knees under the wheel and push up then smack the centre of that steering shaft as hard as you like, sometimes pays to leave the nut partly on so the threads arnt damaged, but it is brute force and ignorance to get it off cos its tapered.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
