right, you have a problem and some work
although the tank is easy to remove i can garentee you will shear studs, unveil coroded metal fuel pipe etc etc because of age, under the back there is a mud clingin knightmare, thars why i removed the original steel cover that protects the filler hose and used wire mesh moulded into shape, so you can get to it with a power washer, the filler is probably rotted too when removed, milner sell these, be gentle with all the pipe connections when taking them off ( there is a few because of its breathing system) undo all studs (or sher them then drill em out) tank drops, but dont let it fall as the sender wire connection is on top, this can be unplugged, then remove tank, shine up tank, if the holes are slight then chemical metal will work smeared over, if holes big then wash out, cut out, weld up, or another tank.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
