Hello . Yesterday the engine past away. I bought the car 5 days ago and initialy i noticed an noticable oil consumption but it was rolling just fine.
But yesterday suddenly it left a lot of smoke behind and my mecanic said it's dead.
I need an advice it better to repair this engine or buy an used engine ( second hand one).Best regards!

What is the problem? a mechanic saying it is dead means nothing.
If it is wear and tear or something similar it is worth reconditioning as these are solid engines. If it is something like a cracked block it is better to look at a secondhand unit.
depends on the state of it
depends on the state of it inside, i normally recomend a complete replacement engine from a yard over repairs for two reasons, 1, the labour stripping/rebuilding engines is high compared to replacement, and 2, the cost of engineering work and internal parts is very high compared to lets say
