Remove stickers and badge YRV Turbo

Forum:

I've recently bought an YRV Turbo (Black) and i'm trying to figure out the following. Is it possible to clean up the back side of the car? I would like to remove the daihatsu sticker, the turbo sticker and also the YRV badge. I've seen some pictures on the internet of clean looking vehicles, but i'm not sure how to handle this.

Do you guys have some tips on how to remove the stickers? It's an 8 yr old car, so maybe i'll end up with faded black paint after removal? And is the YRV logo (badge) removable? (without any pins/holes)?

Heat

Use a hairdryer to slowly heat the sticker up and then peel them of if there is a foam type stuff stuck on you will have to use a stanly blade to remove it but be carefull not to scatch the paint work if there's any sticky left use thinners on rag to get it off then a good wash and polish one of those jobs that could take hours tho due to what sticky resdue is left with regards to the badge just see with a screwdriver if it will pop off if not it will be stuck on as well

Separate

Thanks for the input, I'll give it a try with a hairdryer but the turbo sticker seems to be in separate letters (t.u.r.b.o.), so it wil be actually 5 small stickers and they seem to be very thin. Could take hours and i'm not so sure about the result. Has anybody removed those already?

The YRV badge should be easier to remove, but before I take action I need to make sure there are no pinholes.

The silver (?) turbo badge

The silver (?) turbo badge should come off no probs. Not removed mine. Not sure about the YRV badge or the Daiahtsu badge, I would imagine they are stuck on with adhesive. Have you still got the Turbo 130 decals down the sides? Alot were removed by the dealer as customers didn't like them!

Sticker removal

Like cliff366 says, use of a hairdryer is what ive used with success on decals without paint damage.
Not too high a setting tho.
No locator pin holes.

no silver badge

Thanks for all your respond. I've got no silver turbo batch, it's 5 separate small stickers in a greyish colour. I'm from The Netherlands, so is the car. Maybe it's different compared to the turbo version in the UK?

I've got no Turbo 130 decals down the sides, I like a clean looking car (as little stickers/badges as possible). Unfortunately the weather isn't really helpfull, realy a lot of snow right now, so i've got to wait till things clear up a bit.
