Hi All,
Fuel leak from metal pipe over rear axle.
Is it ok to cut out the bad pipe and replace with plastic fuel hose like you can buy in motorworld ?, say using about a 2 cm overlap and jubilee clips - any chance it would leak
2.8 TDI fourtrack 1998
Thanks
yep thats what i have done on
yep thats what i have done on mine but try and use fuel pipe clips,2 on each end just to be sure
pipe work
you can doo what you want with fuel pipe to meet mot requirements, as long as its a: fuel pipe of type, b: secure and c: no leaks/weeps, i used rubber on all my fuel lines straight to tank , rather than cut out odd weepy metal sections, and used cable ties to hold, just got to be careful you dont crimp the bore.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
