I had problem with my car YRV Turbo engine.
When i start the car it show that no problem at all.
Problem arise when i try to reverse my car which is gearbox seems to be shacking like hell.
Even i put on D mode also i show shacking and when i drive gear only can run from gear 1 to gear 2 only...
But this problem only occurs during raining time.
Is any one had this problem.

If you do a search on here on "YRV Turbo Gearbox" there is plenty to read. When you say shaking, do you mean it goes into gear really hard like a bang? Is the D4 light flashing? If mine does this it will not change from 1st gear. Once I restart it it goes away. The fix was a new battery apparently because if the voltage drops too low during cranking the gearbox ecu doesn't like it, but I think it's a more damp related issue as it hasn't done it during the very cold weather we had here lately but did it today in the mild/damp. So are you saying it changes into 2nd gear and not into 3rd/4th?

Ive noticed water off the
Ive noticed water off the intake scoop can dribble right on the gearbox electrical plug.
Also the gearbox control module is situated in the lower left of the passenger dash and wonder if it gets damp, although the ECU sits just in front of it??
I would take the car to a Automatic gearbox specialist if only for an expert explanation of whats happening.

Hmmm that's interesting Dave. I know the scoop drips all over the manifold. Gonna see if I can put something over the plug, dunno what though! Stupid design. 90% sure it's a damp problem in my case judging by when it does it. I think someone on here (Mark or G) got the gearbox wet once and the light came on.

Actually i had change the battery using the new battery. The problem same with you....may i know your battery spec? i am using NS40 battery.....Now i still facing the problem now....

Not sure what make mine is without looking, but a couple of owners here use The Varta Asia Blue which is rated at 40ah, mine is 35ah I think. As far as I know the Varta Blue 40ah is the biggest capacity you can get to fit the YRV. Search "YRV Battery" on here for more infomation.
Does you car change into 2nd gear in D4 mode? Also does the steershift work?

As far a i concern that YRV is using NS40 standard battery.
When put gear on D4 ..gear shift onlyork from gear 1 to gear 2 only.
Steershift can be used but only change gear 1 to gear 2 also.

I've not heard of this before where it changes into 2nd but not into 3rd/4th. Normally they stick in first gear with the D4 light flashing. Sounds to me like you need to get it to a garage for investigation. After check necessary thing
After check necessary thing fault has been track.
Tiptronics ecu has been faulty cause the gbox having a problem.
Just get the 2nd hand tecu from halfcut shop and change then problem totally solve.
