Pillar lights

Forum:

Am fitting pillar lights to my '94 F73 fourtrak, getting slightly confused with wiring. Would the wiring loom be there or will I have to cut into the wiring loom for the bumper lights? Have had a quick look and have found some wiring but multimeter isnt saying anything for the sidelights, will have a better look on wednesday/thursday when im on half day at uni.

Once again into the realms of the mad jap wiring club, this time not currently in association with the scotch block members, dealt with that last week!

No the wiering in there is

No the wiering in there is not the lighting circuits. You will have to take feeds from somewhere els. Use 7 core (Trailer lighting) cable for ease. You can cut into the tow bar lighting cable far all your feeds (except revurse).

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

right

Right cheers, can you enlighten me as to what that wiring is for?

will have to wait till I go home this weekend to pick up the roll of 7 core and some piggy back connectors as took (nearly) all the scotch blocks out of the trailer wiring last week so should be fairly simple.

Sorry no. Once I had deduced

Sorry no. Once I had deduced it was nothing to do with the lights I never investigated further. Though I do have a very vage notion I decided it was something to do with the speaker wiering at the time...?

hmm

Ok cheers, seems odd as on the pass side theres 3 cables going to a 3 pin plug (obviously) a single wire with a bullet connector on and cant remember what else.

Will be starting to sort electrickery out this next week when i have some half days at uni now ive picked up the reel of 7 core cable from home.
