A brief intro.
Mainly a Land Rover man, but while my 1991 90 is in for a major rebuild (usual LR problem - rust in rear chassis, bulkhead, door frames etc.)

I have been looking at FourTraks as a temporary replacement. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the beast is little (compared to Land Rovers and Morgans - my other motoring love!). So, I have seen comments about rust, there seems little in a '96 3 door estate I have recently viewed. I have also seen comments about checking the 4x4 actuation (the switches can fail?). On doing some research, there seems to be litle in the way of parts out there, eBay being particularly lacking, however, is this because dealers still keep good stocks, or may I find that I've acquired a vehicle I can't use due to a failure?

My pal in the LR trade said "Nothing wrong with FourTaks, reliable, local farmer has one, seem to go on forever".

Just looking for further (not too biased? Wink )opinions.

Cheers,
Graham
