Forum:
I read a previous post about someone's rear wiper slowing. Mine is dead.
I asked the garage to remove the bolt holding the wiper in place. (I tried this myself but it wouldn't budge and tried WD40 but this didn't work.) I requested that they check the mechanism as this seems the obvious place to start and it could simply be dust or dirt. Instead, the auto electrician told me he's going to remove the front and back seats (!!!) to trace the entire wire from back to front to see where the electrical problem is located/where there's a cut in the wire. Seems like overkill to me -- and a big fat bill for labour. Has anyone ever seen this problem before where there's a total freeze? Note: There was a ferocious rainstorm a couple of weeks ago and the wipers functioned perfectly. Then the sudden freeze. Thoughts?
