Good find....that companies

Good find....that companies stuff is usualy on the expensive side.

The part number checks out although they might have priced up as the standard YRV filter by mistake? I bought a few a whle back realy cheap from AtoZ carparts Dewsbury and reassured they were YRV Turbo, but guess what??????

The Andrew Page supplied ADL Blueprint one is in all fairness is Genuine Daihatsu in the box tho......unlike this Nipparts version.

Wojamene "guess what??????"

Dave, do you mean that the filters you were sent fitted the standard YRV?

The standard YRV filter is a fairly complex shape so is unlikely to come cheap from anywhere. I think I paid £15 online for my last one, from a Jap/Nippon sounding supplier that I can't remember.

I've looked far and wide for a standard shape high flow filter for the standard YRV, without success. Have you come across any?

Jon, Ha Ha!! SUS Cheaper, had

Jon, Ha Ha!! SUS Cheaper, had me excited for a minute! Wink

Dave, Hmmm let me guess - a standard rectangular filter sent instead. Surely not?
Yea fair point about ADL being genuine Daihatsu. Will keep looking, money still tight at moment. Might ring this lot to confirm it is the trapezoid type shape filter.

I have changed the oil to Magnatec F/S 5w30 (£14 @ Tesco - result) and changed the Belt. Belt was a pig in all honesty Gents especially with a bad back. Trying to get it to go correctly around the crank pulley was a ****. Guess what? It still squeaks for a split second when BLIPPING the throttle, maybe its not tight enough, will look at weekend when its bedded in. Tightened footrest 10mm bolts and had to tighten drivers seat bolts as the seat was well loose. Must be the shear acceleration power ripping the seat from its mountings Biggrin
Just got plugs to do (not done many miles but been in there a while) and the air filter. Once warmer weather comes I will strip the brakes and have a good old fiddle around.
We talked about selling it the other week as my Wife is pregnant and we already have one child and the YRV is hardly a family car but we decided in the end to keep it, after all what else could I get for similar money with this much fun? Smile

Wayne that Blitz air kit

Wayne that Blitz air kit would be cheaper in the long run and will always have a resale value too.
If onlineautomotive have the part number right then this is the filter.....not genuine but looks quality.

My footrest is loose and also had to tighten the seat last year.

Tony, yeah they were for the Standard 1300 YRV, about £11 each if i remember.....compared to £35 for the Turbo. They were made by Mahle which are good quality. Noticed the idiots still have them listed for Turbo Scratch one-s head

Be adventurous!

If you want to be adventurous and at the same time save money, just find a basic universal tubular K&N filter that will do the job.

I used to fit all my mobikes with K&Ns with excellent power gains. No kit, just adapt with bits!
