Waved goodbye to B16 4 TRK as she dissapeared into the mist on the back of an AA recovery truck :o( Yep..reading the past postings looks like i,m not the first, and wont be the last to become a victim of metal rot. Have entrusted it to Paul at Atkinsons..seems a good fella, and much as I like my local garage..at least Paul knows his 4traks.I,d much rather be spending hard earned dosh on sexy stuff..so all that talk of making it into a ragtop will have to wait a bit longer..hopefully wont be too long before I have her back.
New crossmember fitted
Nice to have the old girl back !Took the train down to deepest Staffordshire, and was picked up by Pauls ( of Atkinsons Automotives) son at the station, and driven even deeper into deepest Staffordshire !! to the farm to pick up my 4trak. The new crossmember now fitted..although would much rather have handed over £500 and seen something for it !! but such is life. Great bunch of guys, who I would certainly entrust to sex up the truck a bit in the future now I know that at least she,s a goodun underneath.Think the next step is 2" lifted springs on the back..torsion bars wound up..and some bigger tyres..then perhaps a body lift..with a Reg No like mine I HAVE to big it up a bit ! Once again Paul...thanks for your help..good to meet you..and hopefully see you again soon.
My 4 trak is ALMOST as much fun as my bike !
