It sounds like an odd question but should the air-con switch light up on a 2005 Sirion (4trak)? Mine doesn't but it doesn't look like it has clear writing to allow this, it is however the only switch that doesn't light up. Also I assume the ring around the cigarette lighter should light up, only thought about this tonight when I tried to plug a phone charger in. There is power and phone charged but the green ring was not lit up (headlights on).
Thanks, Andy.

The Sirion and YRV share a few switches here and there. I can confirm that on the YRV the A/C switch doesn't light up with headlamps switched on. Only the green light will light when you enable the air-con. The Cigarette 12v green bezel doesn't either.

Pulled the dash off today and found no wire to the green ring round the cigarette lighter and no lighting for a/c switch. I just started wondering whether they should be like that or whether I had a bulb out, now I know.

I replaced the lighter in my last YRV to an illuminated one, taking the live feed from the ashtray light for the illuminated bezel. The standard one kept falling out whenever I unplugged something. But be warned, the hole in the METAL (yrv anyway) surround in which it sits is smaller than most of the readily available aftermarket lighters out there and therefore the hole needs enlarging.
