After Market Wheels for Fourtrak

Forum:

My 1996 Fourtrak wheels are showing some sign of age with some rust and paint ships so I was thinking of getting them rubbed down or shot blasted and painted or powder coated. I could rub down and hand paint myself with a few hours of spare time or it would cost about £60 a wheel to get powder coated by a pro.

I then noticed I could buy brand new 8 spoke steel wheels in white for £29 a wheel! Are these wheels any better or worse than the standard Fourtrak wheels and am I better off sticking to the originals and paint them or buy some new ones? Will my hand painted wheels stick more abuse than new factory painted wheels?

Thanks,
Mark.

I'm assuming your looking at

I'm assuming your looking at white 8 spokes? Or possibly Modulars? In a 4x4 mag somewhere? They are a very standard add on for 4X4's of every shape and creed. They should outlive most jeeps quite happill, and as you've noted, cheeper than re-furbing yours.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Very rare

There is nothing wrong with aftermarket products but for the Fourtrak you may find it quite difficult to find some.

Modification aftermarket products are very difficult to find. I have a Fourtrak myself so I know Wink

not really

depends what your after.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
