Old and new fluids. Guess which is which? I don't know what shade of red the original fluid would have been, the same I guess?

To be fair, the old fluid looks the same colour when spread out on the dipstick, it looks dirtier when in the container and looked black as it came out of the gearbox. The second drain looked nice and red though..........

Hi Wayne. Should be red mate

Hi Wayne. Should be red mate Wink Mine is on the dipstick at the moment. So 6 years for an ATF change sounds right. Has this now stopped the issues with the gear box you were having? Or did Daves code reader sort it out?

I only changed it today and it hasn't faulted yet, but I cannot see a fluid change curing it. It has been faulting still since we reset the codes on Dave's reader, so that didn't cure it. Going to try a new battery when I get round to it. Interestingly, it did it Friday, and then righted itself as I drove down the road WITHOUT a restart! Stupid thing. Wink
