Hi there,
I have had my Daihatsu Charade for a year and thought it would be an economical solution in difficult financial times! So anyway on MOT have been told that it needs an osr wheel bearing and that there parts are so rare with fitting it's likely to cost over £400 and with a bottom ball joint it's going to in total add up to nearly £600. Is this right?
I understand wheel bearings not to be so much on other cars but have been told it is linked to the ABS on this one and because of the rarity of the parts it's expensive. But can it be that expensive? Tax, petrol costs are very low and obviously you have to lay out for parts at some time but is it now the situation with these cars that it'll be extremely expensive to replace anything?
Thanks
