Just curious really, bought a YRV last week, lovley little car, lux 50 model so it has the red leather and is in a nice tidy condition.
the brakes need sorting though asap, not sure if this model has brakes made out of sponge cake normally, but they are appawling, are the standard brakes bad on these cars? or am i better off getting upgraded ones? anyone done this who can let me know if it was worth it?
i suppose i am just curious really what people have done to there cars? interior tweeks here and there, or any external modifications.

yes the brakes are rubbish but........
Even the YRV Turbo standard brakes arn't brilliant. I even had word from a Daihatsu parts centre that they see lots of sirions and YRVs coming in with bad brake problems due to the standard discs and pads not being up-to much.
Your options to make them better is to buy some uprated discs and pads and as Bob has mentioned get the brake fluid drained and changed.
As for mods, there are some things out there such as wind deflectors, centre console arm rests etc.. Best bet is to look on E-bay or google searches.
