Now another problem.......
The good old wet passenger footwell. After washing it yestersday I noticed the carpet was wet in a small spot. Ripped carpet up and removed lower trim etc and shone torch up towards A Pillar and I could see droplets up there, but the floor was dry! As soon as I pour water down the left of the windscreen it runs in. I could see a small white plastic grommet thing and it looked like it was coming in there so I siliconed it up the best i could. After pouring more water on the screen it appeared to stop. Then it rained in the night and although the carpet is dry and so is the floor, there were droplets on the inside sill. Maybe it was from yesterday, I don't know. I think once I have rectified this leak I will sell it. I need something a little bigger too. I enjoy the car and I like what it is about, but I just don't trust them. There are too many flaws and faults in my opinion especially for a Japanese car, maybe its the UK tweaks they received that are to blame. Yes, I am p'ed off and maybe I'll change my mind.
What do I do? ARGHHHHHHHHH.........
Wayne

Wayne, if it's any
Wayne, if it's any consulation mine did the same but much worse. Kept having issues with the windscreen fogging up and lots of water appearing, even in the summer. Mine was so bad we had a very bad rain storm during a night, and when I came to get in the car the next morning opened up the car to find both passenger and drivers footwells with an inch of water. Managed to drain this off in time to get to work.
The problem I had was due to a replacement windscreen that had been fitted by the previous owner was'nt put in properly, and the water was leaking through the seal between the front glass roof and the windscreen. Spent a couple of quid on some window sealant from Halfrauds and since then no issues. That was over 3 years ago now
These cars are challenging at times, but I get a huge amount of fun out of it. Put it this way I use my YRV everyday and the Scooby hardly gets driven. Just consider this, it's a 1.3 litre 16valve car with a turbo and you are only spending out on Insurance group 8! If you are to buy a bigger car then good luck, but it would be sad to see you leave before you get started
If you are to get another car then don't move away from a Jap car. And especially don't go for a frog mobile like citreon or peugeot or you will be regretting it
