Fourtrak 2" Body Lift (Blood Red Offroad)

Forum:

After a 300 mile round trip to Blood Red Offroad I now have a 2" body lift and also had a good day with a good crack too. The body lift took much longer than expected so we didn't have enough time to do the cam belt but the body lift is a top job including custom spacers lifting the rear bumper and the brackets were re-welded on the front bumper and A Bar to keep the bumpers positioned as they were originally in relation to the body.

The transfer box lever is now pretty close even after adjustment but I have some box section to make some more adjustments if required but I think it will be ok.

I chopped the bottom half off the fan cowling so the fan blades don't catch but put the top half back on to keep it looking neat from the top and attach the air intake to.

There was a lot of scrap left over and I am glad I bought the full kit from Dave as just the spacers on their own would have been no use at all as the original bolts and sleeves could not have been re-used.

I must apologise to Dave for taking up his whole day so he had to spend the night working through to midnight on his own Trak ready for the MOT and Parkwood.

Here is how it now stands with a 2" body lift, 2" rear lift springs and front torsion bars giving the front 2". A total of 4" over standard.
