Charade GTti 15" wheels on a Sirion

Forum:

Hi lads. I've seen a set of 15's from an older GTti on fleabay. Anyone have any ideas if they'll fit on my 02 Sirion? Cheers.

Yes No problem with the stud

Yes No problem with the stud pattern, that's the same.

4x100 is the most common 4 stud pattern of them all, so there no reason to go with those actual wheels.

BMW MINI, Renualt, Honda, vauxhall, to name only a few all use the same stud pattern.

The Sirion has a 54mm centre hub bore, so if you buy aftermarket alloys, then a 54.1mm spigot ring fitted in the centre of the wheel helps you get the wheel on dead centre when you tighten the nuts.

The Sirion can be a bit of a pain at the rear , if you go too wide with the wheels/tyres they can rub the rear suspension arm, Altough this can often be solved by fitting some spacers.

For 15" best tyre sizes you want to use are either 175/50/15 (Sirion Rally size), or 195/45/15 (20mm wider but the same overall height)

185/55/15 and 195/50/15 will fill the wheel arches up more, but will slighty affect the gearing (slower acceleration) as they are a bit taller.
