This may seem like a silly question but should I notice when the turbo kicks in on a 1998 2.8 tdi 
Ive got an audi 2.0 tdi and I notice that but on the daihatsu there is no sign.
Just wondering if it is working ok.

Check you have one as they
Check you have one as they did a non turbo model, and engines are easily interchangeable.
If you have a turbo it comes in very progressively and not aggressively as many other vehicles do.
