had to adjust the idle on sportrak as it was too low and not charging the battery properly - i set it to about 900rpm. however it is twitching up and down when idling - 900 to about 1200 rpm. any ideas?

Maybe your alternator needs attention.
idle hunting can be caused by a few things,
check the coolant in radiator, if it's low the coolant temperature sensor may not be sending correct reading to the ECU, idle hunting occurs.
Or i suspect you have introduced too much airflow at idle spped (idle speed adjuster backed out too much, this can cause hunting.

i think its the later of those as i had to adjust it quite a bit.
if i adjust it back out untill it stops hunting the revs will be too low though
