Forum:
I was flicking around eBay the other day as I often do and spotted this Sirion Rally IV
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150664060137
which mentions its timing belt has recently been changed. Not wanting the garage to embarrass its self, I dropped them a polite line
"Hi there. I own a Rally 4 myself too. I don't mean to be picky but may I suggest you remove the wording in your advert relating to the timing belt. The engine does not have a timing belt. The cam is driven by chain and lasts the life of the engine. They do not get changed. The wording may discredit your advert. Best of luck with the sale."
To my surprise I received this back
"Thanks for your e mail but they make two engines one a vvti and a normal engine one belt driven one chain driven ours is the belt driven one but cheers anyway
- dialmotorcompany"
What are they getting it confused with?
No idea, but they are
No idea, but they are muppets. Sounds like just covering up for themselves and the lack of service.
All K3VE engines (K3VE Terios/YRV, K3VE2(sirion 1.3 and Rally) and K3-VET (YRV Turbo) are chain driven.
No if's, No but's.
1.0
What about the 1.0 L EJ-VE?
Belt for the 1.0 EJ 3
Belt for the 1.0 EJ 3 cylinder engine
